Anotace:Drunk With Blood includes a separate account for each of God’s 158 killings. These stories fill the pages of the Bible, yet they are seldom read in church and are ignored by most Bible believers, which is a shame because God is so proud of his killings:

You’ve probably hear of a few of God’s killings. Noah’s Flood,Sodom and Gomorrah, David and Goliath, maybe. But there are over 150 others that are unknown to pretty much everyone, believer and nonbeliever alike.

- Smote the Philistines of several cities with hemorrhoids in their secret parts?
- Killed a man for trying to keep the ark of the covenant from falling and 50,070 for looking into the ark?
- Approved when David bought his first wife with 200 Philistine foreskins?
- Killed King Saul for not killing every Amalekite as he told him to do?
- Slowly killed a baby to punish King David for committing adultery?
- Killed 70,000 because David had a census that he (or Satan) told him to do?
- Sent a lion to kill a prophet for believing another prophet’s lie, another lion to kill a man for not smiting a prophet, and some more lions to kill people that didn’t fear him enough?

Anotace:Tato kniha se snaží vědecky (tj. kriticky, metodicky a nepředpojatě) posoudit klíčové víry sedmi největších světových náboženství a praktické (především politické a ekonomické) důsledky, které z toho plynou.

U každého zkoumaného náboženství se autor pokouší nejprve stručně popsat jeho poselství (nauku), aby ji pak následně podrobil ostré vědecké kritice. Tato kritika má následující podobu: (1) vědecké vysvětlení původu daného náboženství, (2) jeho politické a ekonomické důsledky, (3) jeho mylnost, (4) jeho rozpory, (5) jeho škodlivé účinky, (6) shrnutí předchozích bodů. V úplném závěru knihy se pak autor snaží nabídnout návod, jak se zdiskreditovaného náboženství zbavit (= u agresivních islámských věřících pak nahrazením islámských režimů sekulárními a demokratickými režimy, u ostatních věřících pomocí zvyšování jejich vzdělanosti), a předložit vhodnou alternativu v podobě nové „super-teorie“ zformulované moderními filosofy.

Přestože si tato kniha nárokuje striktně vědecký přístup k probíranému tématu, katastrofálně v tom selhává. Pravá věda se vyznačuje především tím, že zkoumá všechny možnosti, připouští všechny relevantní námitky a snaží se je spravedlivě vypořádat. Za pravý důkaz je pak považována ta možnost, jejíž všechny ostatní alternativy byly úspěšně vyvráceny jakožto rozporné. Tak ale autor této knihy bohužel nepostupuje (k dobru mu lze přičíst snad jen to, že skutečně vědecky dnes k problémům přistupuje málokdo). Nejenže si ze všech možných vysvětlení daného problému vybírá už dopředu a zcela nekriticky svého „favorita“ (a ostatní možnosti přitom taktně zamlčuje), ale navíc si nehorázně vymýšlí, jak (tj. za jakých okolností a jakým způsobem) jednotlivá náboženství podle něho vznikla. Člověk, který má alespoň základní náboženské vzdělání či zná dějiny svého náboženství, se nad jeho fantastickými představami musí pousmát. Jsou totiž až dětinsky naivní. Při svém „dokazování“ mylnosti a zvrácenosti jednotlivých náboženství si autor staví tzv. „slaměné panáky“, které pak svými „vědeckými“ argumenty vítězoslavně „spálí na popel“. Nevadí, že tím ve skutečnosti problém nevyřešil. Stačí, že tomu uvěřil. Kniha, která měla být kritickým zhodnocením náboženských myšlenek, se tak stala nekritickou propagací autorova nového pseudo-vědeckého náboženství, které si vymyslel a chce, abychom mu také věřili.
